The person measuring
must remain present
during the measurement.
Current may build up when
the testing terminals are
applied which could
interrupt the warning
system in the instrument.
To avoid an electric shock it
is absolutely imperative
that the safety and VDE
(Association of German
Electrotechnical Engineers)
stipulations on shock-
hazard voltage are
observed when working
with voltages greater than
120 V (60 V) DC or 50 V
(25 V) eff AC. The values in
brackets apply to limited
sectors (such as Medicine,
Agriculture).
