(49) and (52) Brake ON
When the Parking Brake switch (50)
or Brake Lock switch (53) is in this
position, the brake is ON.

(50) Parking Brake Switch

To apply parking brake, press right
side of switch to "On" position (49).
To release, press left side of switch
to the "Off" position (51). When the
parking brake is actuated, an indica-
tor light (33) will be illuminated on
the instrument panel.
The parking brake is spring-applied and hydraulically
released. The parking brake can be applied only when
the keyswitch is in the "Run" position and the transmis-
sion range selector is in the NEUTRAL position. It will
not apply if truck speed is above 0.5 mph (0.8 kph).
The parking brake is automatically applied when the
engine is shut-down and hydraulic pressure is bled
down (keyswitch "Off").
(51) and (54) Brake OFF
When the Parking Brake switch (50)
or Brake Lock switch (53) is in this
position, the brake is OFF.

(53) Brake Lock Switch

The Brake Lock Switch actuates the
hydraulic oil disc brakes on the rear
of the truck.
Apply the brake lock switch only
when truck is dumping or being
loaded. Do not use for parking!
When pulling into the shovel or dump area, do not
apply the brake lock switch until truck is completely
stopped.
To apply the brake lock, press right side of switch to
"On" position (52). To release, press left side of switch
to the "Off" position (54).
When the brake lock is actuated, an indicator light (31)
will be illuminated on the instrument panel.
(55) Circuit Breaker
This 30 amp circuit breaker protects the heater blower
motor and the air conditioning system from overloads.
The circuit breaker can be reset manually by pushing
the red reset button.
Promptly report to maintenance personnel any
burnt out fuses or circuit breakers that need re-
peated resetting. These may be indications of se-
rious problems that may result in fire or damage to
components if neglected.
(56) Circuit Breaker
This 15 amp circuit breaker protects the steering bleed-
down timer from overloads. If a malfunction in the
circuitry occurs, the breaker will open the circuit.
The circuit breaker can be reset manually by pushing
the red reset button.
(57) Circuit Breaker
This 5 amp circuit breaker protects the warning cluster
and the sound alarm from overloads. If a malfunction
occurs, the breaker will open to protect the circuit from
overcurrent condition. The circuit breaker can be reset
manually by pushing the red reset button.

(58) Turn Signal Fuse Holder

This is a 15 amp.- dual element,
time delay (slow blow) type
fuse. Replacement with any
other type is not recom-
mended.

(59) Windshield Wiper Fuse Holder

This is a 15 amp.- dual element, time
delay (slow blow) type fuse.
Replacement with any other type is
not recommended.
