Recording a Memo Message
Base Unit
You can record your own voice memo message for up to 3 minutes in memory.

Press [MEMO/2WAY REC].

After the long beep, talk clearly, 20 cm
(8 inches) away from the MIC.
• The base unit display shows the elapsed
recording time.

When finished, press
[MEMO/2WAY REC] or [STOP].
• A beep sounds.
• The NEW MESSAGE indicator flashes.
• If you record for over 3 minutes in step 2, the unit will stop recording.
• If " " is shown on the base unit display and 6 beeps sound, your memo message
is not recorded correctly. Record it again.
Recording Your Telephone Conversation
Base Unit
You can record your conversation while talking using the handset or base unit.

During a conversation, press [MEMO/2WAY REC].
• The base unit display shows the elapsed recording time.

Continue your conversation.

To stop recording the conversation, press [MEMO/2WAY REC] or
[STOP].
• The NEW MESSAGE indicator flashes.
• While recording your conversation, Call Waiting and Caller ID features cannot be
used.
• If you press [
], [
recording is stopped.
Many states have imposed regulations on the manner in which 2-way telephone
conversations may be recorded, so you should inform the other party that the
conversation is being recorded. Consult your local telephone company for
further information.
