Data Protec�on
During the use of device, personal data will be collected, stored and processed. To protect data,
the development of Hikvision devices incorporates privacy by design principles. For example,
for device with facial recogni�on features, biometrics data is stored in your device with
encryp�on method; for fingerprint device, only fingerprint template will be saved, which is
impossible to reconstruct a fingerprint image.
As data controller, you are advised to collect, store, process and transfer data in accordance
with the applicable data protec�on laws and regula�ons, including without limita�on,
conduc�ng security controls to safeguard personal data, such as, implemen�ng reasonable
administra�ve and physical security controls, conduct periodic reviews and assessments of the
effec�veness of your security controls.

Installa�on Environment:
Avoid backlight, direct sunlight, and indirect sunlight.
For be�er recogni�on, there should be light source in or near the installa�on environment.
If you have to install the device outdoors, you should install a protec�ve shield(op�onal) for
the device.

According to the datum line on the
mounting template, stick the mounting
template on the wall or other surfaces, 1.4
meters higher than the ground. Drill holes on
the wall or other surface according to the
Hole 1 and Hole 2 on the mounting template.

Remove the cable hole on the
mounting plate with tools and align the
holes to the mounting plate and secure
the mounting plate on the wall with the
4 supplied screws (Pa4×25).

Use 2 supplied screw (KM3×6) to secure the device
and the mounting plate.

After installation, for the proper use of the device
(outdoor use), stick the protection film (parts of models
supplied) on the screen.

Route the cable through the cable hole of the
mounting plate, and connect to corresponding
external devices' cables.
Align the device with the mounting plate and
hang the device on the mounting plate.
When connec�ng door contact and exit bu�on,
the device and the RS-485 card reader should
use the same common ground connec�on.
The Wiegand terminal here is a Wiegand input
terminal. You should set the device's Wiegand
direc�on to "input". If you should connect to
an access controller, you should set the
Wiegand direc�on to "Output". For details, see
the user manual.
The suggested external power supply for door
lock is 12 V, 1 A.
The suggested external power supply for
Wiegand card reader is 12 V, 1 A.
For wiring the fire system, see the user manul.
Do not wire the device to the electric supply
directly.
If the device support PoE, the network
interface supports power supply by PoE.
If the device supports power supply by PoE and
the network interface is connected, do not wire
