Data Protection
During the use of device, personal data will be collected, stored and processed. To
protect data, the development of Hikvision devices incorporates privacy by design
principles. For example, for device with facial recognition features, biometrics data
is stored in your device with encryption method; for fingerprint device, only
fingerprint template will be saved, which is impossible to reconstruct a fingerprint
image.
As data controller, you are advised to collect, store, process and transfer data in
accordance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations, including
without limitation, conducting security controls to safeguard personal data, such as,
implementing reasonable administrative and physical security controls, conduct
periodic reviews and assessments of the effectiveness of your security controls.

Installation
Installation Environment:
Install the device at least 2 meters away from the light, and at
least 3 meters away from the window or door.
Make sure the environment illumination is more than 100Lux.

Device Wiring (Without Secure Door Control Unit)
Notes:
When connecting door contact and exit botton, the device and the RS-485 card reader
should use the common ground connection.
The Wiegand termianl here is a Wiegand input terminal. You should set the face recognition
terminal's Wiegand direction to "Input". If you should connect to an access controller, you
should set the Wiegand direction to "Output". For details, see Setting Wiegand Parameters in
Communication Settings.
The Min. power cable's diameter: 18 AWG.
The power cable's rated current is 3 A, while other cable's rated current is 1 A.
Before you start:
1. According to the baseline on the mounting template, stick the mounting template on
the wall or other surface, 1.4 meters higher than the ground.
2. Connect the supplied cable to the device terminals on the device rear panel.
Steps:
Drill holes on the wall or other surface according to the mounting template and install the

gang box (80 mm × 80 mm).
Use two supplied screws to secure the mounting plate on the gang box.

Use another four supplied screws to secure the mounting plate on the wall.
Route the cables through the cable hole of the mounting plate, and connect to the
corresponding external devices' cables.
Cover the interfaces with the supplied back sheet and secure the sheet with three screws.
Note:
Apply Silicone sealant among the wiring hole to keep the raindrop from entering.
Remove the screw at the bottom of the device, and align the terminal with the mounting

plate and buckle them together.
Use a hex wrench to fasten the screw at the bottom.
Notes:
The installation height here is the recommended height. You can change it according to your actual needs.
You can also install the device on the wall or other places without the gang box. For details,
refer to the User Manual.
For easy installation, drill holes on mounting surface according
to the supplied mounting template.
