Review your outboard's warning sys-
tem self-test routine. During start-up,
make sure the warning system self-t-
ests properly.

Following the E E n n g g i i n n e e S S t t a a r r t t i i n n g g proce-
dure, start the outboard. If the out-
board was winterized, it will emit a puff
of smoke on the first start of the
season.
Let engine idle while you:
Observe running quality. If poor, refer
to TROUBLESHOOTING .
Stop the outboard and check the fuel
system for leaks.
