Changing needles

WARNING
Before changing the needle, use the main power switch to turn off the
sewing machine.
Not doing so could cause an injury.
Broken needles are dangerous. Be sure to dispose of them in a safe
place away from children.

Turn the handwheel toward yourself to raise
the point of the needle higher than the needle
plate.
Hold the needle in one hand, loosen the
needle clamp screw with the screw driver for
the needle plate, and remove the needle.
Note:
Do not remove the needle clamp screw.
Loosen the needle clamp screw to remove
the needle.

Firmly tighten the needle clamp
screw with the screw driver for
the needle plate.
Correct needle selection
If a faulty needle is used, not only could it impair the sewing performance, but it could
also damage the needle plate or hook, or break the needle.
