the workpiece while cutting. Use only enough
steady pressure on the blade (1) to keep the saw
cutting. Reduce pressure as the blade comes to
the end of the cut.
7. Cutting stroke rates should vary with the work-
piece. Hard materials such as metals require low-
er stroke rates, for softer materials use higher
stroke rates.
8. Check wood, chip boards, building materials etc.
for foreign objects (nails, screws, etc.) before
sawing and remove them, if necessary.
9. Position the pivoting footplate onto the surface
of the work and saw through the work applying
uniform contact pressure of feed.
If the saw blade jams, switch off the tool immediately.
Widen the saw cut with a suitable tool and pull out the
saw blade.
PLUNGE CUTTING (image 1, 2)
WARNING: Plunge cutting is only suitable when
working softer materials such as wood or plaster
board! However, this requires a degree of practice
and is only possible with short saw blades.
1. Place the tool via the pivoting footplate onto the
work piece and switch on (6). Pay attention that
the bottom side of the pivoting footplate faces
against the surface of the work piece.
2. Slowly plunge the saw blade (1) into the work
piece at an angle. After the saw blade (1) pen-
etrates through the work piece, move the tool
to a vertical position and continue to saw along
the cutting line.
3. Switch off (6) the tool and remove it from the
work piece.
FLUSH CUTTING (image 3)
With the use of flexible bimetal saw blades, project-
ing items (i.e. water pipes, etc.) can be sawed off
flush to the wall. Pay attention that the saw blade
(1) always extends beyond the diameter of the pipe
being sawed. Danger of kickback.
1. Position the saw blade (1) sidewards against the
wall and apply some lateral pressure via the tool
so that the edge of the pivoting footplate faces
against the wall.
2. Switch the tool on (6) and make the cut, applying
constant lateral pressure.

out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.

Regular inspection and cleaning reduces the neces-
sity for maintenance operations and will keep your
tool in good working condition. The motor must be
correctly ventilated during tool operation. For this
reason avoid blocking the air inlets.
Although this machine is small in size, care must
still be taken when handling and lifting. Dropping
this machine will have an effect on the accuracy and
may also result in personal injury. This machine is
not a toy and must be respected.
The environment will have a negative result on its
operation if you are not careful. If the air is damp,
components will rust. If the machine is unprotect-
ed from dust and debris; components will become
clogged: And if not cleaned and maintained correct-
ly or regularly the machine will not perform at its
best.
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing as waste.
Machine, accessories and packaging should be sort-
ed for environment - friendly recycling. The plastic
components are labeled for categorized recycling.
This product is warranted in accordance with the le-
gal/country specific regulations, effective from the
date of purchase by the first user. Damage attribut-
able to normal wear and tear, overload or improper
handling will be excluded from the guarantee. In
case of a claim, please send the machine, complete-
ly assembled, to your dealer or the service Centre
for electric power tools.
