TRANSPORTING THE MACHINE: TIE DOWN PROCEDURE When transporting, the GeneSys 20” Automatic Scrubber must be properly tied down to keep the machine protected and in ™ good working condition. Using features of the machine’s design, below are suggestions to secure the machine efficiently and effectively during transport.
BATTERIES The GeneSys 20” Automatic Scrubber is supplied with two 12-volt batteries and an onboard battery charger. The batteries, installed in the battery compartment beneath the recovery tank, may be either Wet Cell (aka Flooded), which require periodic maintenance, or maintenance- free Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM).
Page 8
The electrolyte levels of all wet cell batteries need to be checked periodically to ensure proper performance and long battery life. Depending on the local climate and use, Betco recommends that batteries should be checked at least once a week. If the machine sees heavy use, check batteries every 2 to 3 days.

BATTERIES continued MAINTAINING LEAD-ACID BATTERIES WITH FORTIFY WET BATTERY PROTECTION SYSTEM ™ The Fortify Wet Battery Protection System monitors the ™ electrolyte levels of the batteries using a sensor inserted into the batteries and lights an indicator LED to notify the operator to water the batteries when levels are low.
ON-BOARD CHARGER WARNING: Perform one battery charging cycle before using the machine. The on-board charger, located on the bottom of the lower control panel, has LEDs to indicate the charging status and the type of battery to charge. Before charging any batteries, use the “Select Battery Type” button on the charger to configure the charger for the type of battery that is being charged.
