The protective earth (PE) of the power
outlet must be connected to the protec-
tive earth of the pump. The plug must
have the same PE connection system
as the power outlet. If not, use a suita-
ble adapter if allowed by local regula-
tions.

3. Product introduction
Grundfos LIFTAWAY B-120 for underfloor installation
is a compact mini lifting station consisting of a tank
and a UNILIFT KP 150, KP 250, KP 350, UNILIFT
AP12 or UNILIFT CC 5, CC 7, CC 9 drainage pump
with a level switch for automatic start/stop. A double-
pump version is also available for UNILIFT KP and
UNILIFT CC. The lifting station is designed for
pumping of wastewater from wash basins, washing
machines, showers and floor drains. LIFTAWAY
B-120 can also be used for the collection and
pumping of rain water.
The variable height of the tank, which is installed
under the floor, makes it easy to adjust the tank to
floor level.
These instructions apply to the LIFTAWAY
B-120 tank and installation kit only.

3.1 Applications
LIFTAWAY B-120 in combination with UNILIFT KP
150, KP 250, KP 350, UNILIFT AP12 or UNILIFT CC
5, CC 7, CC 9 is designed for applications where
wastewater cannot be led directly to the sewer by
means of a natural downward slope.
LIFTAWAY B-120 must not be used for the
pumping of sewage water from toilets.
The lifting station is used for various applications,
such as:

draining well to collect drainage and surface water
•
pumping of wastewater from basements and
laundry rooms below sewer level.
