SCL800 model specific console:
The PAUSE key is replaced with a STOP key. Functions as a typ-
ical P31 PAUSE key plus as a manual emergency stair stop key.
Range: 20 - 165
SPM
Levels: 30 levels, 5 spm increments
Note: Numeric keypad: Can be used to set the speed to any value
between 20 - 165 spm.

floor), Elevation Gain, Step Rate Levels (1 - 30)
There is a console STOP key and a handlebar Remote STOP key.
Pressing either STOP key initiates a pause and immediately slows
and stops the stairs.
Exception: Pressing the Stop key once during a workout starts the
Pause session, except for the fitness tests (WFI and CPAT),
where pressing Pause terminates the workout.
The stairs will stop when weight is removed from the stairs.
The drive system is comprised of a low friction, two-stage drive sys-
tem with a proven electro-mechanical EMS braking system. The
first "resistance brake" stage uses a belt drive system. The second
"stair step" drive stage uses a heavy duty 428 O-Ring motorcycle
chain drive system.
The step drive uses the weight of the user and a resistance brake
(EMS brake) to control the step speed. The minimum weight of the
