Click Direct Print and click the Upload button. The
Uploader copies the program to your camera. When the
program has been installed, you see Direct Print in the
Applications in Camera

Click Close to exit the program.

Turn off your camera and disconnect it from the
computer.
Now you can connect your camera to the printer and start
using Direct Print. See page 11-2 for more information.

Reading Error Messages

If you see a message on the LCD screen or display panel
while printing, check the following tables to resolve the
problem.

Message
Explanation
Battery is low. Use AC
The camera's battery power is almost out.

Recharge or replace your batteries, or connect
the AC adapter to the camera.
Check Printer Model.
The camera is not connected to a compatible
printer. Connect the camera to one of the
printers listed on page 11-1 and then press the
SELECT button to begin printing. (If you want
to cancel printing, press the BACK button for
3 seconds.)
Check Printer
Printing stopped because of a printer error.
Connection or Printer
Clear the error (you may need to turn the
Error.
camera and printer off and then on again), then
start printing again from the beginning. (See
your printer's User's Guide for troubleshooting
information.)
Printing Canceled
This message appears when you hold down the
BACK button for more than 3 seconds while
printing. The printer stops printing and ejects
the paper. The Print menu reappears.
No photos in memory
This message appears when there are no
photos in the camera's memory. Press SELECT
to return to the Print menu.
Print setting is returned
This message appears when an error occurs
to default.
while the Direct Print program is working. The
settings you have made are replaced by the
default settings. Press the SELECT button to go
back to the Print menu and enter your print
settings again.
