Connecting the Drive to the Server

・Specified SAS cable is used for the drive connection.
Turn off the power before installing or removing the Built-in LTO from the
server.
Always be sure to turn off the main power and unplug the power cord from the AC
outlet before installing/removing the Built-in LTO or connecting any cables. There is
a risk of electric shock if the Built-in LTO is installed or removed or any cables are
connected while the power cord is still plugged into an AC outlet.
The procedure for the installing the drive in a system is as follows.
In order to install the drive into the device installing unit, refer to the instruction guide
provided by that unit.
Some servers require the rails to be used. For details on how to install the rails,
refer to the server's operating manual.
1.
Remove the cover from the server.
2.
Install the N8151-101 Built-In LTO as shown in the figure below.
