MOUNTING THE TOOL
has eight mounting holes, four 1/4 in. holes and four
3/8 in. holes. Select the proper mounting holes based on
the size of bolts used. Bolt the base of the miter saw (1)
to the workbench (5), using the fastening method
shown in Fig 29.
NOTE: Mounting hardware is not included with this tool.
Bolts, nuts, washers and screws must be purchased
separately.

OPERATING THE TOOL

WARNING
Never connect the plug to the power
source outlet until all installations and adjustments
are completed and you have read and understood
the safety and operational instructions.
BASIC SAW OPERATION
1. Always use the clamp to hold the workpiece firmly. Two
holes are provided for the clamp.
2. Always position the workpiece against the fence. Any
piece that is bowed or warped and cannot be held flat on
the table or against fence may trap the blade and should
not be used.

2. For portable use, place the saw on a 3/4 in. thick piece
of plywood. Bolt the base of the miter saw securely to the
plywood using the mounting holes on the base. Use
C-clamps to clamp this mounting board to a stable work
surface at the worksite. (Fig. 30)
NOTE: If a miter saw stand is used, please follow all
instructions shown in that product's instructions for
proper mounting.

TURNING THE SAW ON (FIG. 32)
This miter saw is equipped with an ON/OFF trigger switch (1).
When the trigger switch is squeezed, the miter saw will be
turned on.
NOTE:
• To make the ON/OFF switch childproof: Insert a padlock
(not provided) through the hole (2) in the trigger switch,
locking the tool's switch, preventing children and other
unqualified users from turning the machine on.
• The miter saw is equipped with an electric blade brake.

SLIDING FENCE (FIG. 33)
1. Unlock the fence cam locking lever (1) by pushing it
towards the rear of the machine.
2. Extend the fence (2) by sliding it out. Lock the fence cam
locking lever (1) by pulling it towards the fence.
NOTE: When transporting the saw, always secure the
sliding fence in the collapsed position and lock it.
