Problem
Sprayer sprays with
poor results
Pump will spray paint
but will not spray water.

Cause
Flow Control is set too low.
No air allowed into Cup.
Spray Tip is partially clogged.
Spray Tip is not in correct position.
Incorrect Spray Tip for application of
material.
Spray Tip is worn or damaged.
Material being sprayed is aerated
because it was shaken.
Material being sprayed is too cold to
spray.
Material being sprayed is incompatible
with sprayer.
Gasket on front of Spray Gun is
damaged or lost.
Debris stuck in Spray Gun.
Hose wires are damaged.
Spray Gun has reached end of life.
Pump has reached end of life.
Prime valve leaking.
Battery has insufficient charge.
Pump has reached the end of its life.
Troubleshooting
Solution
Increase speed until an
acceptable pattern is achieved.
Make certain the Storage Plug on
the Cup Lid is open when
spraying.
See Clear Tip Clogs, page 18.
Rotate spray tip to SPRAY
position.
Install different size Spray Tip.
See Tip and Pressure Selection,
page 16.
Replace Spray Tip. See Tip and
Pressure Selection, page 16.
Do NOT shake material. Stir the
material or check the
manufacturer's recommendation
for the material being sprayed.
Warm material.
Fully clean system. See Cleanup,
page 22. Try thinning the material
per manufacturer's
recommendation, or switch to a
different material.
Replace gasket.
Remove Spray Tip/Spray Tip
Guard. Turn Flow Control to 10
and spray fluid for 5-10 quick
triggers to dislodge debris.
Replace Hose.
Replace Spray Gun.
Replace pump assembly.
Replace prime valve.
Charge Battery.
Replace pump assembly.
