Separating the Auger and Traction Assemblies
Auger Gearbox: Service and Repairs
1. Park the machine on a level surface. Stop the engine, wait for all moving
parts to stop and remove the key.
2. Remove the 2 screws securing the cover.
3. Remove the belt guide around the crankshaft pulley, avoid bending the guide.
See Belt Replacement chapter.
4. Remove the face gear cover.
5. Disconnect the chute control cable.
6. Disconnect the deflector cable from the deflector.
