UTC Universal Coordinated Time, also known as Zulu and
Greenwich Mean time, 5 hours ahead of U.S. EST (Eastern
Standard Time).
VDOP
Vertical Dilution of Precision.
WAAS Wide Area Augmentation System: A new source of DGPS
corrections originated by the FAA and transmitted from
geostationary satellites at the same frequency as the GPS
signal. The 2201 provides a compatible host with WAAS-based
position corrections. Differential correction information is
generated by ground-based reference stations at precisely
surveyed locations, which transmit GPS corrections to the end
user via geostationary satellites at about 22,000 miles above
the earth , transmitting in the 1575-mHz GPS frequency band.
