Connecting to the
Northstar 941/951/952
2201 INSTALLATION MANUAL, Revision B
This section explains how to connect the 2201 (binary) to the
Northstar 941, 951, or 952, and connect the 2201 to power.
The 2201 is interfaced with the Northstar 941/951/952 by
connecting the 2201-CA interface cable to Northstar's WA215
interface cable. Northstar supplies the WA215 cable with each
941/951/952 for connecting to autopilots, plotters, and other
navigation equipment. This cable may already be connected to
the 941/951/952, but if not, find the cable or call your
Northstar dealer to order one.
To connect the 2201 to the 941/951/952:
1.
Route the WA215 and 2201-CA cables to a protected
area suitable for electrical connections.
2.
Plug one end of the WA215 cable connector into the
18-pin I/O connector, labelled "J2" at the back of the 941/
951/952.
3.
Connect the stripped end of the WA215 cable to the
stripped end of the 2201-CA cable. For details about the
interface connections, see Table 2, "Northstar 2201
(binary) connections," on page 20.
