6.4 Ground connection – measuring system
In principle, it is recommended that the ground connection of the measuring system has
a good conductive connection to the functional earth of the machine.
This particularly applies to measuring systems with hollow or blind shaft at which the
functional earth of the machine to the measuring system should be connected e.g. by
cable eyes and a cable with min. 4 mm² (not contained in the extent of supply). For this
purpose, corresponding thread drillings are available in the measuring system flange.
