ALWAYS wear safety goggles or protective eye-wear when operating the unit!
When your painting job is complete, empty tank of
unused paint. To do this, relieve tank pressure by
pulling ring on relief valve (18) and disconnect the
paint hose at the spray box (10). (see picture 5, page 7)
1.
Put the hose end in a container you wish to save the
paint in. Pressurize tank (2-3 psi) and paint will be
pumped from tank. After all the paint has been
flushed, reconnect the hose to the spray box.
2.
Release tank pressure by pulling pressure relief valve
(18). Remove pump/handle assembly (23).
3.
Remove nozzle cap (11b), nozzle (11a), and nozzle
screen (11c) and clean thoroughly.

4.
Pour 1-2 gallons of *solvent or water into the tank and
swab the inside with a rag. Re-pressurize the tank and
force the liquid through the system by pulling the
control lever (1). Repeat the above procedure until no
residue of paint is shown in the liquid.
* Note: Always use the solvent recommended by the
paint manufacturer. DO NOT use petroleum base
cleaners or thinners with water based paint. The
cleaner will react with the paint, making it gummy like
putty. If paint thinner or similar cleaners have been
used, flush the system with soapy water and then clear
water before using water based (latex) paint.
5.
Finally wipe away any extra liquid in bottom of tank.
Clean and rinse exterior of machine.
