TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
1. Check thickness of paint, thin if needed. Use provided Viscometer
to check dwell time of paint.
2. Check if pressure is low, re-pressurize if needed.
1. Check Nozzle for obstruction, remove nozzle and screen. Clean or
replace.
2. Check for obstruction in tank. Remove paint and clean tank. Run 2-
3 quarts of recommended solvent or water through system. Strain
paint back into tank.
3. Control cable out of adjustment. Retighten cable so that valve stem
is pulled all the way out (3/16")
Check nozzle adjustment. Bend tab so that the spray meets ground and
spray shields at same time. Nozzle slot has to be horizontal with surface.
Thin paint by adding the recommended solvent or water, ½ cup per gallon
(4oz) at a time, or use Viscometer provided for correct thinning of paint.
See page 5 for Thinning guide. Cold temperatures (50-65 degrees) will
require more thinning.
Lubricate the pump leather through hole in the take lid with a few drops of
oil.
1. Tighten the lid. Turn pump D-handle clockwise until snug. DO NOT
OVER TIGHTEN.
2. Pump gasket need to be lubricated using petroleum jelly.
3. Check gasket for buildup, clean and lubricate or replace if needed.
4. Pump gasket worn, replace.
Check pump gasket, pump valve and pump leather. Disassemble and
inspect all parts. Clean or replace if worn.
1. Check control cable adjustment. Adjust cable at shut off valve if
needed.
2. Check control valve for clog or if worn. Clean or replace if needed.
3. Check and adjust shut off valve linkage. Replace if faulty.
