Questions and answers (FAQ)
This section contains answers to frequently asked questions about your smartphone and
describes how to solve problems.
If none of the answers help you rectify the problem, please contact a Gigaset Service Centre.
Why won't my smartphone switch on?
Your smartphone battery is not inserted. Insert the battery ( p. 12).
Your smartphone battery is not charged enough or has run out of charge completely. If the
battery charge falls below a minimum level, your smartphone switches off automatically.
Recharge the battery.
Why does the battery run out so fast or why isn't it charging?
Charge the battery for at least 2 hours. Please note that the battery may only reach its full
capacity after multiple charging sessions.
Why doesn't my SIM card fit in the slots?
Your smartphone supports the nano SIM format. If your SIM card is a different format (for
example, micro SIM), contact your mobile network operator and swap your SIM card for a nano
SIM.
Why does the status bar show little or no mobile signal?
If you're somewhere with poor network coverage, you won't be able to get a good signal. If no
mobile signal is found, there may be no network coverage, the SIM card may not be inserted
properly or there may be no active mobile network contract. Go somewhere with better network
coverage, check that the SIM card in your smartphone is inserted correctly or contact your
mobile network operator.
Why isn't the touchscreen reacting anymore when I type?
Your smartphone's operating system might have crashed. Reboot your smartphone ( p. 95).
Why can I barely hear the person I'm talking to or they're breaking up?
If the person you're talking to is too quiet, increase the volume with the volume + button. If the
person you're talking to is hard to understand, it could be down to bad mobile signal at your end
or theirs. Check the mobile signal in the status bar and move somewhere with better network
coverage if necessary.
