Unlocking display lock with facial recognition
Your smartphone will unlock when it detects a trusted face. Scan your face. Your smartphone will
carry out facial recognition when you switch it on and unlock if it recognises the face.
Facial recognition is not as secure as a PIN, pattern or password. Someone who looks
like you could unlock your smartphone.
Setting up facial recognition
Settings
screen locking (Pattern, PIN, Password) . . . The wizard for setting up face unlocking is
opened
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Then use the switches to set whether your smartphone will unlock with facial recognition and
whether the lock screen should be skipped.

The data used for facial recognition is only stored on your smartphone. The data is not
accessible to apps and is not stored on Google servers.
Add emergency information to the lock screen
Add to the lock screen a link to personal emergency information (such as your blood group,
details of any allergies you have or medication you need, or people to be contacted in an emer-
gency).

When the screen is locked, swipe upwards
INFORMATION twice
Emergency information can be seen by all those picking up your smartphone. Your
smartphone need not be unlocked.
