• Check the HDMI Connection. (Check the status of the HDMI related indications.)
• Check the correct SOURCE or INPUT on the DTV device that has
correctly selected the Signal from this unit's HDMI output.
• Check whether the connected Monitor device or another device
supports HDCP. (This unit will not output a Video signal unless the
other device supports HDCP.)
• Check the setting of HDMI.
• Check whether the Output Format of this unit (HDMI FORMAT)
matches the supported Input Format of another connected device.
• If above remedies do not work, unplug the HDMI Cable and the AC
Power cords, then plug them back in the order of 1: HDMI Cable, 2:
AC Power cords.
• Home Menus cannot be called up during DVD Formatting or Finalizing.
• Press [C(Stop) ] on the Remote Control, and then press [ HOME ].
• Check if the Connections are made securely and correctly.
• Check if the Cables are damaged.
• Try Channel setting by following the steps on page 60.
• The Channels may be set to be Skipped. (Refer to page 61)
• Check the Connections. Confirm the Main Source from the Digital Antenna/ Basic
Digital Cable/Digital Cable Box/Satellite Receiver is connected to the ANTENNA
IN by an "RF Coaxial" Cable. If not using the "RF Coaxial" Cable and using an
S-Video or RCA Video/Audio Cables, the unit will need to be set on L1 or L2.
• Try pressing [ SOURCE ] repeatedly.
• Turn On All Connected devices.
• Check if the Connections are made securely and correctly.
• It is prohibited to make a Recording from 2 minutes before the
Programmed Start Time of a Scheduled Recording.
• The space of the Recording media may be used up. Try Deleting
unnecessary Titles or connect a recordable External HDD.
• The maximum number of Titles has been exceeded. Delete the
unnecessary Titles to make enough space or connect a recordable
External HDD.
• Check if the Connections are made securely and correctly.
• This unit cannot Record only Audio or only Video Programs.
• The internal Clock of the unit may have been Stopped due to a Power
outage. Reset the Clock Setting. (Refer to page 59)
• The contents of "PAUSE TV" will be Cleared in some cases. (Refer to
page 33)
• Check to see if the disc is Formatted to this unit. If used in a PC or any
other device, it may not allow any Recordings.
• For DVD-RW, try "Format" for reformatting. (Refer to page 65)
• Copy-once Programs cannot be Recorded on DVD. This is not a malfunction.
• Check if the disc is Finalized. Undo the Finalization. (Refer to page 65)
• DVD-RW once Formatted on another Unit cannot be Recorded on this
Unit unless all the contents in the Disc are erased.
• Check if the Connections are made securely and correctly.
• "Wait for a moment." screen may remain On-screen for the maximum
of 20 seconds even after it reached 100%. This is not a malfunction.
