Reference Manual for the 54 Mbps Wall-Plugged Wireless Range Extender WGX102

Router Mode

In Router Mode, the WGX102 provides all the functions of Access Point Mode, plus the following
services:
Shared Internet Access — the wall plug port becomes the WAN port, and if a broadband
modem is connected to it through an XE102, the WGX102 can provide Internet access to your
entire wireless LAN.
DHCP Server — the WGX102 can act as DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)
server, which provides the IP address and other TCP/IP configuration for the all the computers
that are connected to the range extender through the wireless network. In Router Mode, using
this feature is recommended, and it is enabled by default.
