The encryption password can protect your network from unauthorized access through the PowerLine network. • A device password is printed on each NETGEAR PowerLine product. This is not the network password, but you are required to enter it if you are setting the network password with another Powerline extender device. - Page 15 CD, or checking for an upgrade. If you click the Check for Upgrade button, the CD software will check a Netgear server for a newer version of the utility. If found, the newer version will be downloaded and run.
