Problem
Total power failure during
the wash cycle. To remove
the laundry, first open the
drain valve manually and
then manually unlock the
door.
Excessive foaming during
the wash cycle.
Cause and remedy
There is no power to the washing machine due to a pro-
longed power failure.
Switch the washing machine off by pressing the  but-

ton.
Switch off the on-site power switch and close all on-site

shut-off valves for water or steam.
Push the emergency drain lever downwards and hold un-

til no more water runs out.
The emergency drain closes automatically when the lever
is released.
Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the opening under the

door handle. Rotate the screwdriver anticlockwise and
pull the door handle upwards.
Rotate the drum by hand until the drum door is reached.

 Risk of crushing due to the moving drum.
The drum is not locked during a power failure and may
move during unloading.
Remove the laundry.

You are using an unsuitable detergent.
