Accessing the DXi6900 G2 Service Menu

Install Application Software Menu

The Install Application Software Menu allows you to install the DXi6900 G2 system software. For more
information on installing the system software, see the DXi-Series Software Installation and Upgrade Guide
(6-67321).

More Tools Menu

The More Tools Menu allows you to access the DXi service tools.
To access the More Tools Menu from the Service Menu:
1. Type the option for More Tools and press <Enter>.

0) Reboot Node - Reboot this Node.
1) Collect - Gather System information for Diagnostics.
2) Array Collect - Gather Array information for Diagnostics.
3) Dell Collect - Gather Dell's DSET information for Diagnostics.
4) Engineering Tools >>> - Tools for use by Engineering.
5) Open Manage Web Svc >>> - Manage Open Manage Web Service.
The Service Tools Menu includes the following options:

Description
Reboots the DXi6900 G2 system.
Gathers diagnostic information on the DXi6900 G2 system. This
information should be available prior to contacting customer support. The
previous 5 collect logs executed are saved by the system.
To view this file, go to: /scratch/collect/node1-collection. The
output is also available as a ZIP file at: /scratch/collect/collect-
<serial_number>-<date>-<time>.zip.
