Wiring Diagram Without Thermostat
• This appliance is equipped with a three pronged
(grounding) plug for your protection against
shock hazard. Plug it into a properly grounded
three-prong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the
grounding prong.
• Label all wires prior to disconnection when
servicing controls. Wiring errors can cause
improper and dangerous operation. Verify proper
operation after servicing.
• Ensure that the wires do not touch a hot surface
and are away from sharp edges.
• Do not connect the millivolt wall thermostat wires.

• Install AA batteries into the back-up battery compartment for this
unit to operate when power is lost. See battery back-up instructions
in this manual. The fan and lights will not operate on battery power.
• A wall thermostat may be installed if desired. Connect the wires as
per the wiring diagrams. It is preferable to install it on an interior wall.
• Regency® offers an optional programmable thermostat but any
250-750 millivolt rated non-anticipator type thermostat that is CSA,
ULC or UL approved may be used.
