Owner Maintenance

In the interests of safety and reliability, it is advisable to
carry out the following checks at the intervals suggested
(more frequently if your vehicle is heavily used or
operating in adverse conditions), and always before
starting on a long journey. Refer to the following pages
for advice and check procedures.
Before Use Check:
• Operation of lamps, horn, indicators, wipers,
washers and warning symbols
• Check there is sufficient fuel for the intended
journey, particularly at night and before entering
motorways
• Operation of the seat belts
• Operation of the brakes
• Check for fluid deposits underneath the vehicle
Weekly Checks
(daily if covering high mileage or touring)
• Tyres
• Coolant level
• Brake fluid level
• Power steering level
• Operate Air Conditioning
• Windscreen washer fluid level
• Check operation of windscreen washers
Fuel Filler Bowl
During fuel filling check that the fuel filler bowl drain
pipe is free from debris which may block the pipe. If
the pipe is blocked water can not drain from the bowl
and can overflow into the fuel tank.
Engine Oil Level
It is important to check the engine oil level
regularly. Running the engine with engine oil below
the lower mark or above the upper mark can cause
serious engine damage.
Check the engine oil level every fourth fuel tank fill or
weekly - which ever is the sooner.
