DPM/HPM
When selected, the Defect Pixel Map window shows dead or hot pixels location. The DPM and
HPM (Dead and Hot Pixel Maps) are stored in the camera's non-volatile memory and are used
to correct defective pixels when dead or hot pixel correction is enabled.
Dead Pixels: Pixels with sensitivity that deviates more than 15% due to fluctuations in the
CMOS manufacturing process.
Hot Pixels:
Pixels that during normal camera operation respond within specifications, but
in long integration modes (programmable frame time) become high-intensity
bright pixels.
Save To File: saves the map shown in Defect Pixel Map window into a .dpm or .hpm file.
You can download the factory DPM and HPM, add defective pixels to the factory map, and then
upload the updated map to the camera using Imperx Upload Utility.
