MOTION THRESHOLD

The minimum number of dots for starting the motion de-
tection operation from the number of active dots within the
detection area is set here. Motion detection operates when
change that exceeds the number of minimum dot set is
detected.

Motion detection will not operate when Motion
Threshold is set higher than the pixel area number.
1. Select the camera to set the motion threshold in
"SELECTION CAMERA NUMBER" (
2. Display the desired setting in "MOTION THRESHOLD" and
turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• The setting is confirmed.
Cautionary items concerning motion detection
When the DVR is recording an alarms due to motion detection settings menu settings cannot be changed. If
changes need to be made, press the ALARM INTERRUPT button to force stop the motion detection recording
for a period of 5 minutes. During, this time, settings can be changed. This manual stop is automatecally restored
after 5 minutes. The WARNING LOG LIST is updated with this interruption information.
To cancel the alarm interrupt, press the ALARM INTERRUPT button again.
For ALARM recording, the ALARM IN terminal on the rear have priority over others ALARM trigger conditions.
If the motion detection setting is active, alarm recording is started when the ALARM IN terminal is grounded or
when motion is detected.
• The motion detection indicator lights when the motion detection function is in operation and flashes when motion
is detected or during alarm interrupt.
• Motion detection ALARM recording is affected by many conditions and at times may affect the recording of this
unit. Take caution when connecting to a system, etc., that uses the motion detection function to set off alarms,
etc.
• To perform alarm recording during motion detection, set "A-PPS" of the corresponding camera number in the
<RECORD SETTING> to other than "- - - - - -".
• Motion detection will not operate while making settings in the <MOTION DETECTION SETTINGS>.

1. In "SELECTION CAMERA NUMBER" (
select the camera to test operates.
2. Set "MOTION DETECTION" on the next row to "ON" and
turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• The setting is confirmed.
3. Select "TEST MODE" and turn the SHUTTLE ring clockwise.
• The operation test begins.
4. To end "TEST MODE", turn the SHUTTLE ring counter-
clockwise.
• During test operation, active areas of motion detection are
displayed using " • ". The screen displays " & & & & & " when motion
that meets each condition of sensitivity and number of
dots to start recording is detected. If motion detection
does not operate properly, reset the conditions again.
