Function extender interface for the SCALANCE LPE

This interface is supported as of SINEC OS firmware version 2.1.
On the left side of the housing, there is an interface for connecting the SCALANCE XCM-300 with
a SCALANCE LPE. Take the exact position from section "Device views (Page 23)". This interface
is closed with a cover in the delivery state.
The SCALANCE LPE can run a large number of customer-specific applications. For example, it
records, collects and processes production data such as quantities, temperature, maintenance
information and utilization. This data can then be forwarded to a wide variety of destinations,
such as cloud platforms or other internal applications. Available communication information
enables the detection of irregularities in the plant network and, with the right response,
increases plant availability.
