Bearing alignment

The radar's bearing alignment ensures that radar echoes (objects) appear
at the correct bearing relative to your vessel's bow. You should check the
bearing alignment for any new installation.
Checking alignment
Align the bow with a stationary object between 0.25 nm and 2 nm away.
Reduce the gain sensitivity control to make the target as small as possible on
the screen.
Note the position of the object on the screen. If the object is not under the
ship's heading marker (SHM), then bearing alignment is required.
Adjusting alignment
Adjust the [Bearing alignment] setting until the target object appears under
the SHM.
[Bearing alignment] setting can be accessed from the [Advanced ] tab: [Menu
> Advanced > Bearing alignment].
