4.3.2 The connection of the switching interfaces

The connection of interface 1-24
ISCOM2828F provides 24 100BASE-FX Ethernet optical interfaces in the form of SFP.
When adopting SFP optical module working at the rate of 155Mbps, other parameters of the optical
module (e.g. transmitting distance, media type, and etc.) are selectable. Fix the SFP module into one
of the 1-24 interfaces, and use a pair of fibers with LC connector on one end (the type of connector at
the other end of the fibers depends on the device at the opposite side) to connect the device to the
100BASE-FX interface of the opposite device. The TX of the SFP module must be connected to the
RX of the opposite device; while the RX of the SFP module must be connected to the TX of the
opposite device.
The connecting of the interface 25 and 26
ISCOM2828F provides 2 1000BASE-X Ethernet optical interfaces in the form of SFP.
When adopting the SFP optical module working at the rate of 1250M, other parameters of the optical
module (e.g. transmitting distance, media type, and etc.) are selectable. Fix the SFP module into
interface 25 or interface 26, and use a pair of fibers with LC connector on one end (the type of
connector at the other end of the fibers depends on the device at the opposite side) to connect the
device to the 1000BASE-X interface of the opposite device. The TX of the SFP module must be
connected to the RX of the opposite device; while the RX of the SFP module must be connected to
the TX of the opposite device.
The connecting of interface 27 and 28
ISCOM2828F provides 2 10/100/1000M Ethernet electrical interfaces. Both of the interfaces are in
support of auto-MDI/MDIX function, and they can be connected to the 10M, 100M or 1000M
Ethernet electrical interfaces on other devices with either straight-through or crossover cable.

4.3.3 Connect to the power supply

ISCOM2828F/AC adopts 220V AC power supply. Please connect the socket on the rear panel of the
switch with 220V AC power supply using the provided power supply cable. Users can use the 2
power supplies, or use only one of them.
Note that ISCOM2828F has power supply switch. The switch will only be electrified after the switch
is well connected to the 220V AC power supply and the power supply switch is turned ON.
ISCOM2828F/DC adopts -48V DC power supply. Please connect the socket on the rear panel of the
switch with -48V DC power supply using the provided power supply cable. Users can use the 2
power supplies, or use only one of them.
Note that ISCOM2828F has power supply switch. The switch will only be electrified after the switch
is well connected to the -48V DC power supply and the power supply switch is turned ON.
