Chapter 4: UEFI BIOS
When SEL is Full
This feature allows the user to decide what the BIOS should do when the system event log
is full. Select Erase Immediately to erase all events in the log when the system event log is
full. The options include Do Nothing and Erase Immediately.
Custom EFI Logging Options
Log EFI Status Codes
Select EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) Status Codes to log EFI status codes. Select Error
Codes to log EFI error codes. Select Progress Code to log the EFI progress code. Select
both to log both EFI error codes and progress codes. The options include Disabled, Both,
Error code, and Progress code.
BMC Network Configuration
Update IPMI LAN Configuration
Select Yes for the BIOS to implement all IP/MAC address changes at the next system boot.
The options include No and Yes.
*If the item above is set to Yes, the following item will become available for user's
configuration:
Configuration Address Source
This feature allows the user to select the source of the IP address for this computer. If Static
is selected, you will need to know the IP address of this computer and enter it to the system
manually in the field. If DHCP is selected, the BIOS will search for a DHCP (Dynamic Host
Configuration Protocol) server in the network that is attached to and request the next available
IP address for this computer. The options include Static and DHCP.
VLAN
This item configures the virtual LAN settings. The options include Disabled and Enabled.
IPv6 Support
Use this feature to enable IPv6 support. The options include Enabled and Disabled.
