Biotage V-10 Evaporation System
Uncrating & Lifting Instructions
Before demonstrating or installing, the Biotage V-10 Evaporation
System must be removed from the shipping crate and placed on a
bench, table or cart. This lifting should always be done by mechanical
means, for example a lift table, whenever possible. If mechanical
assistance is not available, three (3) able people will be required to
move the equipment safely.
Weight of V-10 Evaporation System: 122 lbs. (56 kg)
Weight of V-10 Evaporation System and shipping crate: 213 lbs. (97 kg)
Warning: Failure to follow proper lifting instructions may result in bodily
injury and/or damage to the equipment. Please read all instructions prior to
removing unit from shipping crate. User manual can be found inside the
cardboard box within this crate.
Please follow instructions
below for manual lifting:
Step 1:
Once shipping crate has been received and
positioned near bench, remove retaining clips
from around the bottom of the crate (see figure
A). With the assistance of another person, lift the
wooden box off the pallet and set to the side.

Step 2:
Carefully place the box containing the glass
condenser reservoir and other components in a
safe location. Free the V-10 by cutting shipping
straps (see figure B). Pull straps completely
through crate and discard.
