Handsfree and Monitor

When it's inconvenient to hold the handset, you can use the speaker
and microphone in your telephone and talk Handsfree instead.
Handsfree is great when you don't have a free hand for the phone.
(For example, you may want to enter data at a computer terminal
while talking to a customer on the phone.)
There are three types of Handsfree operation:
Handsfree
You can place and answer calls by pressing
SPK instead of using the handset. You must
have a Speakerphone to have Handsfree.
Check with your Communications Manager.
Automatic
You can press a line or line appearance key
Handsfree
without first lifting the handset or pressing
SPK. Your Communications Manager may
have enabled this option for you.
Monitor
You can place a call without lifting the handset,
but you must lift the handset to speak. You
always have this option - regardless of the type
of phone you have or how your system is set up.
