E-MAIL ADDRESS: Enter the email address(es) to receive notifications from the DVR. Notifications include Health
Checks, Event Notifications (Motion, Alarm Input, Video Loss, etc...), and other system level events such as reboots
and failed login attempts. Event notifications can be setup in the EVENT menu.
Depending on the cell phone carrier (AT&T, Verizon, etc...) it may be possible to receive emails on a phone as a SMS
text message. Follow the steps below to find out what your email address would be.
1. Open the texting app on the phone to receive notifications.
2. In the recipient field, instead of a phone number enter an email address that you can check (your own email).
3. Check your email— there should be an email from your phone
4. The email is typically the phone number followed by the carriers name, ex: 8156331444@vzwpix.com (Verizon).
5. Enter this number/email into the E-MAIL ADDRESS list above as a recipient of notifications.
The phone should now receive notifications from the DVR.
Examples of phone email addresses:
• AT&T: phonenumber@txt.att.net.
• T-Mobile: phonenumber@tmomail.net.
• Sprint: phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com.
• Verizon: phonenumber@vtext.com or phonenumber@vzwpix.com.
• Virgin Mobile: phonenumber@vmobl.com.
The E-MAIL Server must be configured to send notifications. See info on following page.
