Installing the batteries

  1. Slide the battery cover off of the CA-2.
  2. Insert the batteries, making sure the polarity is correct.
  3. Slide the battery cover closed.

Tuning

  1. Press the power button (a) to turn on the CA-2.
  2. Move your instrument close to the mic (b), and play a single note.
  3. Set the note name to be tuned on the tuner display (c), and tune your instrument so that the needle on the meter reaches dead-center (d). The needle moves to the left if the note played is too low (flat), and to the right if the note played is too high (sharp).

Tuning

Tuning to match a reference tone
Press the (Sound Out) button (e). Each time you press the (Sound Out) button, the sound will change by one semitone. Tune your instrument to match the reference tone.
