Basic safety precautions

This is a CE certified product Manufacturers of kitchenware products for domestic use
recommend putting the following safety measures into practice. Bear the following safety
precautions in mind when using your pressure cooker.
1.
Read all the instructions.
2.
Move the pot carefully when it holds pressure inside. Avoid touching hot surfaces. Use the
handles and use protection if necessary.
3.
Do not allow children near when using the pressure cooker.
4.
Do not place the pressure cooker in a hot oven.
5.
Never use the pot without adding water. This would cause permanent damage to your
pressure cooker.
6.
Extreme care must be taken when moving a pot containing hot liquids.
7.
Never use the pressure cooker for any purpose other than its intended use.
8.
This product cooks under pressure. Misuse can cause burns. Make sure that the pot is
properly closed before using it under pressure.
9.
Do not fill the body over two thirds of its total capacity. When cooking foods that expand
during cooking, such as rice and pulses, do not exceed half the pot capacity when
filling. Overfilling can lead to the risk of blocking the steam outlet ducts and generating
excessive pressure.
10. Bear in mind that some foods, such as stewed apples, cranberries, pearl barley, oat or other
cereal meal, split peas, noodles, macaroni, rhubarb or spaghetti, can form foam and bubble,
blocking the pressure control system (steam escape). These foods must not be cooked in a
pressure cooker.
11.
When cooking pasty foods, joggle the pot gently before opening the lid (1) to prevent food
being ejected.
12. If cooking meat with the skin on, which can swell under the effects of the pressure, do not
prick the meat while the skin is swollen, as it could scald you.
13. Always check that the valves are free of obstructions before each use. See the more detailed
instructions in this manual.
14. Do not attempt to open the pot until the pressure inside it has dropped completely. If you
have any doubts or difficulties, please read the "How to release the pressure after cooking"
section of this manual carefully.
15. Do not use this cooker to fry with oil under pressure.
