then clean with a mild soap and a scourer,
rinsing with plenty of water. Never leave
tomato sauce, salt water or any other food
inside the pressure cooker body (11) as this
can cause corrosion.
Silicone sealing ring (8). The sealing ring
is made from high strength silicone. Wash
it with warm water and soap, rinse and dry
each time you wash the lid (1). To ensure
proper pot sealing, it is advisable to change
the silicone sealing ring (8) every 12-18
months, depending on how frequently it is
used. It is advisable to replace the silicone
safety valve sealing ring (25) (Clasica
model) with the same regularity.
CAUTION: the silicone sealing ring is
considered to be worn out when the
pressure cooker starts to leak steam
and fails to maintain the pressure inside
it. The silicone sealing ring needs to
be replaced approximately every 12-
18 months to ensure proper pressure
cooker operation.
Handles (9) and knob (33). If you use the
pressure cooker frequently, we recommend
checking from time to time that the handles
(9) and knob (33) are screwed on properly.
If they are not, tighten the screws with a
screwdriver. Check these components to
make sure the Bakelite has not suffered any
wear. If any breaks or cracks are seen, they
will need to be replaced.
Spare parts. Use only genuine spare
parts. Use of unauthorised spares could
cause the unit to malfunction and will void
any warranty protection provided by the
manufacturer.
