Configure the DM5500 in the Data Manager
After you have installed the DM5500 in a rack, cabled it, and powered it on, you must log in to the Data Manager Appliance
Configuration UI to perform the initial configuration of the appliance. After you complete the initial appliance configuration, you
are directed to
log in
to the Data Manager Appliance UI as the default admin user so that you can monitor, manage, protect, and
recover data across your enterprise. For more information on how to perform data protection operations in the Data Manager
Appliance UI, see the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance Administrator Guide for DM5500.

Steps
1. Type the following URL in your browser's address bar:
https://192.168.100.100
The PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance Configuration login screen appears.
2. On the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance Configuration login screen, log in using the default admin credentials.
Username: admin
Password: dm@ <appliance serial number>
Example: dm@DPDID220100130
The DM5500 serial number is found on the white label of the pull-out information tag in the back of the server, to the right
of the power supply units. The serial number is a 14-character mix of letters and numbers used to identify the DM5500 to
Dell support. For the location of the information tab, see
