NOTE:
: Rail depth is same as distance between front and rear mounting flanges of the rack. Rails do not support external
cable management (CMA, SRB).
NOTE:
The adjustment range of the rails is a function of the type of rack in which they are being mounted. The Min/Max
values listed above represent the allowable distance between the front and rear mounting flanges in the rack.

Installing the rails

Prerequisites
NOTE:
The rails can be installed in both square and round hole racks.
NOTE:
The support bracket must be removed if the rail cannot fit between the rack flanges.

To install the rails, perform the following steps.
Steps
1. Press the release latch on the rail.
2. Align the rail with the rack flange, ensuring that the rail pegs are seated in the designed rack holes.
3. Release the latch to lock the rail in place.
The installed rear rack rails should look like the following image.
Install the DM5500 in the rack
