Preparations before installation

Before you start installation of the SW 6000 Software Package you must ensure that you have installed the
following software:
Operating Systems: Windows 2000 Professional or Windows Server 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later,
Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1. Windows XP Home Edition is not supported.
Please note, that Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 is available from Microsoft, however
this service pack has some built in errors, which has to be corrected before running SW 6000.

Internet Explorer 5.01 or later.
The Message Queuing Service, see section 'Installing Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ)').
Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1
You need to install the proper language version (dotnetfx) in accordance with the PC's operating
system language. In the 'Miscellaneous' folder in the installation CD you will find some of the
languages.
If you cannot find the language in accordance to the operating system language, you have to
connect your PC to the Internet and download your version from the Microsoft Web site.
After installing the .NET Framework package, the PC has to be restarted!
Microsoft Data Access (MDAC) Version 2.6 or later (Version 2.7 is supplied with the installation CD –
in 'Miscellaneous' folder).
Other preparations
Assign each PC a Computer Name (see section 'Computer Name')
If you use more PC's in the system, you will have to install a LAN TCP/IP connection (TCP/IP) at the
PC. Assign a permanent or automatic IP address
Install touch screen driver if using touch screen for the CUA.
Read carefully the 'SW 6000 License Agreement', which is found in the SW 6000 CD-ROM.
