4.5.4 Automatic mode: Memory card

The D7-SYS additionalComponentBuilder generates a component file
(*.br3) from one or several tabular files. All of the files, which are in a
component, can be managed using this software. The components are
downloaded into a memory card and transferred when the module is
initialized.

4.5.4.1 General description

D7-SYS additionalComponentBuilder only interprets the contents of the
files if it involves tabular data. In this case, the files are opened with the
tabular values, the validity of the tabular values checked and entered into
a tabular structure. A signal is immediately output if the tabular data were
not able to interpreted in one of the files.
The contents of all of the other files, which do not contain tabular data,
are not relevant for the D7-SYS additionalComponentBuilder. The
selected files are read-in in the specified sequence and the components
added as binary data. This means that the particular SIMADYN D FBs /
IBs, which wish to use the data of the components, must interpret these
themselves. Possible errors in the individual files regarding the data
format are in this case not recognized by the D7-SYS
additionalComponentBuilder.
This means that the D7-SYS additionalComponentBuilder can be used to
generate tabular components, generate ITSP components as well as
generate all of the component types required in the future.

4.5.4.2 Structure of the tabular files

All tabular files, which the D7-SYS additionalComponentBuilder integrates
in a component, are checked by this regarding the data format and the
data structure of these files.
The tabular files must fulfill the following conditions:
• ASCII files
• Table columns must be separated using a semicolon or tab character
• Lines must be separated by a line break or semicolon.
Tables, which are generated with MS Excel, and saved in the *.csv-format
or as "Text (Tabs separate)" fulfill these conditions.
