Using the Battery Pack (Optional)

The HDO4000 series provides rechargeable battery packs (optional). After the battery
pack is installed, it powers the oscilloscope as a power supply when the instrument is
connected to AC power. One pack can last for about 4 hours. To install the battery
pack, follow the steps below:
1. Flip the slider of the rear-panel battery connector to the right to open the
connector.
2. Orient the battery pack on the oscilloscope's rear panel and push the feet of the
battery pack down towards the rear-panel slots to snap it in place.
3. Then push the pack up toward the top of the oscilloscope to snap the hooks of the
battery pack into the rear-panel grooves.
This oscilloscope has a built-in charge system that can charge internal battery packs
while it is connected to AC power. A fully discharged battery pack requires
approximately 4.5 hours to fully charge if the oscilloscope is powered down. If the
oscilloscope is operating, a battery pack can take up to 7 hours to fully charge. The
battery charging LED indicator lights when the battery is being charged.
