Vent the appliance and the cold water inlet line (see chapter "Set-
tings").

12. Appliance shutdown
f Isolate all poles of the appliance from the power supply.
f Drain the appliance (see chapter "Maintenance").

The flow rate is too low.
The set temperature is not achieved.
The heating system does not switch on.
No hot water and no traffic light display.
Traffic light display: Green flashing or constantly on
No hot water at a flow rate > 3 l/min.
Traffic light display: yellow constantly on; green
flashing
No hot water at a flow rate > 3 l/min.
Traffic light display: red constantly on; green flashing The cold water sensor is faulty.
No hot water
Required temperature > 45 °C is not achieved.

WARNING Electrocution
Before any work on the appliance, disconnect all poles
from the power supply.

13. Troubleshooting

Indicator options for diagnostic traffic light (LED)
1 Diagnostic traffic light
Cause
The strainer in the appliance is dirty.
One phase down.
Air has been detected in the water and heating out-
put is briefly switched off.
The MCB/fuse has responded/blown.
Safety pressure limiter AP 3 has tripped.
The PCB is faulty.
The PCB is faulty.
The flow meter (DFE) is not plugged in.
The flow meter (DFE) is faulty.
The high limit safety cut-out has responded or suf-
fered a lead break.
The heating system is faulty.
The PCB is faulty.
The cold water inlet temperature is above 45 °C.
Draining the appliance
The appliance can be drained for maintenance work.
f Close the shut-off valve in the twin connector or the cold
water inlet line.
f Open all draw-off valves.
f Undo the water connections on the appliance.
WARNING Electrocution
To test the appliance, it must be supplied with power.
Red
Illuminates in the event of a fault
Yellow
Illuminates during heating operation
Green
Flashing: Appliance connected to power supply

remedy
Clean the strainer.
Check the fuse/MCB in your fuse box/distribution
board.
The appliance restarts after one minute.
Check the fuse/MCB in your fuse box/distribution
board.
Remove the cause of the fault (e.g. faulty pressure
flush).
Protect the heating system against overheating by
opening a draw-off valve downstream of the appli-
ance for one minute. This depressurises and cools
down the heating system.
Activate the safety pressure limiter at flow pressure
by pressing the reset button (see chapter "Commis-
sioning").
Check the PCB and replace if required.
Check the PCB and replace if required.
Plug the flow meter plug back in.
Check the flow meter and replace if required.
Check the high limit safety cut-out and replace it if
required.
Check the heating system resistor and replace if re-
quired.
Check the PCB and replace if required.

Reduce the cold water inlet temperature to the ap-
pliance.
WARNING Burns
Hot water may escape when draining the appliance.
