6.4.3 Facial Recognition

Facial recognition is the function that compares a captured face (in image or video stream) with
those in face picture libraries and returns its identity information if the face is recognized. Based
on facial feature of human being, facial recognition first checks if human face exists in the input
image or video stream. If there is a human face, the function compares the face data (such as
position, size, and facial feature) with those in current face picture libraries to identify the person.
Note
This function is only available for certain models.
Face Capture
Face capture detects human faces appearing in the scene. Linkage actions can be triggered when a
human face is detected.
Steps
1. Go to Configuration → Event → Facial Recognition → Face Capture.
