Light the paper. When the paper starts burning, close the combustion
chamber door.
Leave the primary air nozzles fully (entirely) open until the flame covers the
entire combustion chamber, and close them completely after sustainable
ignition. Otherwise certain surfaces may overheat above the permissible
temperature. See the Warranty Conditions.
During actual combustion, the secondary air that is sucked in through the
openings in the upper periphery of the combustion chamber door is entirely
sufficient.
During initial ignition, the oven damper is in the final state inside. See
diagram III – 3.1
3. Fuelling with wood
Wood burns best in cycles, so the heat radiated by the fire is not constant over time.
Cycle is the time from the ignition of the wood loaded on embers to their
transformation into a new layer of embers. Each cycle can provide heating for several
hours depending on how and how much wood is loaded.
Finely chopped pieces of wood, thrown crosswise, burn faster, because the
incoming air is able to reach all surfaces at once (simultaneously). Such an arrangement
is suitable when necessary intensive heat to be given off.
To achieve a continuous, prolonged, sustained stable fire, gather the coals on the
grate and load wood. The dense, close, parallel arrangement of the wood prevents
penetration of air and flames among them and preserves their interior for later burning.
Open entirely (completely) the primary air. When the outermost wood kindles, reduce
the air to achieve the desired intensity of burning.
